Jun KITAZAWA

Artist. Born in Tokyo in 1988. Earned a Master’s degree from Graduate School of Art at Tokyo University of the Arts. After graduation, while working with about 30 domestic and overseas regions, worked with diverse people through medium and long term field work. Continues to practice art projects aiming at “Community-Specific” that brings out places asking everyday life in group life. Founded “JUN KITAZAWA OFFICE YAKUMO” in 2010. Directly involved with society, forming partnerships with various organizations.Exploring the possibility of an autonomous and sustainable project. Stayed in Indonesia for 1 year with the Fellowship Program of the Japan Foundation Asia Center in 2016. Activities are undertaken while coming back and forth between Japan and Indonesia. In 2016, elected as the art department of the US economic magazine Forbes “30 Under 30 Asia”.
